404 Oops, Page Not Found

Hi, for the last couple of days when I get an email notification of a thread update, if I click on the View This Thread button, the Forum opens up with a 404 Oops, Page Not Found notice.
I also notice that I am not logged in.
If I go to the Forums Page, I am logged in. If I click on the Alerts Button, all of my alerts are there.
Is anybody else getting this?
Any bright ideas?

It was happening to me yesterday in Chrome. All day. Clear you cache'. For me, the last twenty-four hours. Probably for you, the last seven days.

I suspect the root cause has something to do with the board no longer supporting old style links from before the upgrade to XenForo. After the upgrade last year, old links still worked, then suddenly this week they stopped working and gave the 404 Oops page. Example:

OLD: https://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?383667-Allie-Jordan
NEW: https://board.freeones.com/threads/Allie-Jordan.383667

I had to write a script to change all my old links to the new style. Everything has worked perfectly since then. Whether the change was intentional or not, I don't know.

I verify the bookmarks are failing, even if just bookmarked (using Firefox, cache cleared), so it shouldn't depend on old style links:

I don't know what's going on this morning, seems like every bookmark I've ever had no longer works and I keep getting logged out. It may be temporary, but it looks like all threads are switching from:

today: https://www.freeones.ca/forums/threads/allie-jordan.383667/

I'm going to wait a few hours before changing all my bookmarks again and see if this fixes itself.

UPDATE:

I have no patience and did a quick search/replace to fix all my bookmarks. The board is behaving as normal again with that change.

Sorry about the mess.

In short, we're trying to ditch the board.freeones.com sub-domain but things haven't really gone that well. Nobody mentioned it was affecting users so I didn't make a post about it.

Your bookmarks are working again and redirecting to the new URL.

My go-to when logging on is

board.freeones.com/watched/threads/

but also, I had watched/threads open from last night. I clicked on this link from that page and still getting 404

Also, I believe the older revamp thread contained the word "welcome". Since I can't find that thread through watched/threads, I tried to search for it. That search returned....

"Oops! We ran into some problems.
The search could not be completed because the search keywords were too short, too long, or too common."

I'm in using the Opera browser. I've been out almost the entire day. The forums icon in https://freeones.com for most of the day using the Chrome browser (if it is the Chrome browser) hasn't been responding.

At first, I was getting an http 404 page removal error. Then nothing. It's been like that getting no response almost the entire day. Like I said I'm here using the Opera browser.

I'm back in now. Using Chrome. The forum kicked me out after I posted at 8:10 am.

Other browsers, Chrome, Firefox and Opera all failed. Clearing the cache' in Chrome also didn't help this time.

Note to self : use board.freeones.com/forums to get in

I got the 404 message a few times Monday, and then redirected to Freeones.com, where I tried to use the link there to access the board. However, it too redirected to the Freeones' homepage until I tried it this morning and was able to get in

Depending on your browser, there was a redirect, but its been fixed.
